Head Coach

So I have to quickly post that today I got the head coach job at Tooele High school for Cross Country. I'm really nervous, but really excited. It looks like I'm going to need to get in shape and work out with the team. Ha, Ha, like that will happen, but I am hoping. Just wanted to share that tidbit!

Okay the truth....

No we really don't have swine flu, just really busy and haven't been able to blog. Family is doing great. Ky is almost 1 year old and into EVERYTHING. Gavin is a PIB and there are days he is for sale, Jaycee is drama queen whos new favorite thing to do is watch Beyonce's video of "Single Ladies," while practicing the "moves." Phil is still working hard (or hardly working) and I am still surviving. All is great and I will try to post about our past 2 months after trek.

N1 Flu

Sorry, no posts lately, been stricken with swine flu. Will post when I feel better! All is well, leave for trek Wednesday. Really excited.

Yep, we are Trekkers!

No, we are not star trekkers, we are pioneer trekkers. We got asked to be a Ma and Pa for our Stakes trek in June. It is kinda short notice, but it has influenced Phil and I to get out an walk to be ready for the 12-14 mile hike each day. I'm really excited to go. I've really wanted to go, Phil not so much, but I think he will like it. Also, I recently got a calling as Ward Activities Chair. I have some ideas for activities, but if anyone has ideas, let me know. With this new calling I've officially decided that I only receive "fun" callings, not spiritual ones. Maybe that is something I need to work on.......

Update on Gavin

Gavin had surgery on Wednesday at Primary Childrens. All went well and the Dr. said it was pretty large. He cleared Gavin to play football in two weeks, if he felt up to it. I must say he didn't bounce back as fast as the first one, but slowly he is doing better. He is mad that he can't run and play. He reminds us frequently that he is ok, yet he can't get out a vehicle on his own or climb into bed without wincing. Stinker!

She's 4 years Old!!!!

I can't believe my little girl turned 4 over Easter weekend! It seems like just yesterday I was sitting at the hospital holding her and thinking, "Great! a girl." She is a little moody at times and the PMS has already started, but all in all, she is a great daughter. She makes me laugh with her grown up attitude and her hilarious speech problem. I love her to death and even though she is a girl, I wouldn't trade her for anything! I love you Jace! She had a great birthday with her cousins. She got lots of Littlest Pet Shops(LPS). (she calls them Polly Chop, Chops) She got her Princess Aurora horse and a Mariposa barbie. The Hinton's got her bra and panties (thanks Jenn) and new jammies. The Yei's got her a new doll blanket, a sparkly baton, and rolly bath soap. The Tate's got her 2 webkinz. Grandma and Grandpa Bottema got her a new bouncy ball and a LPS bedspread. Grandma B got her school work book, hair accessories and lip gloss.

She wanted a LPS cake, so rather than have one made I bought her some LPS to stick on top. Not too creative, but she loved it.

Here comes Peter Cottontail, hopping down the bunny trail...

Amongst all our chaos of Easter weekend, the Easter bunny found our house and delivered some goods. The kids each got a movie, Ky-Pinocchio, Gavin-Narnia, Prince Caspian (who is hot) and Jaycee-Tinkerbell. They got an article of clothing, a bath toy, under-roos and some candy. Because I had a meet, the Easter bunny didn't hide the eggs and left a note telling us to hide them when mom got home so she could witness the finding of them. (Thanks Easter Bunny!) We didn't get to the egg hunt until after church on Sunday, which was sunnier anyway. The kids had fun finding them and helping Ky find his. Ky even got good at picking them up and dropping them into his basket.



The kids also got Easter outfits, of course. Jaycee picked out hers and calls it her Tinkerbell dress. Gavin picked out his and Ky's.
