Yep, we are Trekkers!

No, we are not star trekkers, we are pioneer trekkers. We got asked to be a Ma and Pa for our Stakes trek in June. It is kinda short notice, but it has influenced Phil and I to get out an walk to be ready for the 12-14 mile hike each day. I'm really excited to go. I've really wanted to go, Phil not so much, but I think he will like it. Also, I recently got a calling as Ward Activities Chair. I have some ideas for activities, but if anyone has ideas, let me know. With this new calling I've officially decided that I only receive "fun" callings, not spiritual ones. Maybe that is something I need to work on.......

One thing we did in a ward that was so fun was a pinewood derby anything goes. Some people put wheels on a banana. It was so much fun.

I forgot to leave a comment about the Trek. I'm so excited for you guys! Jon and I were ma and pa's a couple years ago. Jon so didn't want to go. It ended up being one of best experiences of our lives. It was so neat to see the transition that happens to those teenagers. Are you going to Martins Cove? If so, you and Phillip need to read The Fire and the Convenant before going. Can't wait to hear all about it.

I have always wanted to do that...I think it would be a really neat experience! Hard...but spiritual. Cant wait to hear about it.

HAHA Brian did not want to go either! But, we are going in June, too!! Just shows who is the boss is our houses huh? The only thing I am really worried about is that some little beehive in our family will start her period out there for the first time!!!! Good Luck we will have to compare notes!!
